Some id10t called from this number. First started off as if he knew me. Then kept asking if I was the owner. When I replied "of what?" he became unpleasant then hung up.
Wanted me to donate to Firefighters. Was very polite, didn't ask for any information over the phone. I politely responded that I don't donate to charities that cold call me and he thanked me for my time and hung up. Nice to have a civilized conversation with telemarketers for once. :) The call came from Elgin, Texas.
I just got a call from this number; same as Becka above, but nobody would speak on the other end and after me saying hello twice, they hung up. Confirming the call came from Elgin, Texas.
This number has called me 4 times. I don't answer numbers I don't know - each voicemail has been a simple "Hello" and that's it. One voicemail asked if they could speak to me and knew my name. But - since they couldn't leave a reason why - I haven't called back - it is a number from Elgin, Texas.
Some firefighter organization asking for donations.. said something about 100 firefighters being killed and asked if i would donate if he sent me an envelope...no donations over the phone. Call got disconnected. Nice man on the phone, but I hate telemarketers and will be blocking this number. I can't remember the organization name but it is possible it is a scam, although i doubt it if they are asking for donations via mail.
