Caller ID read "Mapco".
Caller asked for **** by name. Since he was in a meeting I asked to take a message or send him to voicemail. (Not that he was actually going to get to talk to him anyway). The guy had the gall to ask for his cell # so he could leave him a message directly for as soon as he got out of his meeting. We don't give out cell #'s so I just transferred him to voicemail and he didn't even leave a message. IF YOU ARE READING THIS DUDE, YOU WILL NEVER GET THROUGH!
So, that tells me it was some sort of cold call sales call or scam.

Call came up as MAPCO. This is a SCAM! Do not give them a name! Guy sounded all friendly which is an immediate red flag. He asked to speak to our "head of maintenance--what's his name again?" I told him we didn't have one. Then asked for the plant manager. I told him we didn't have one of those either. He said, "Oh you don't, huh?" I asked to have our name removed from his list. He said he didn't have a list and hung up on me. VERY RUDE.
