Caller ask for some random name and when you say wrong number they say "Oh, maybe you can help me..." and launch into a spiel.

Bloody scammers!!!

This isn't a fraud, it is the American Disabled Veteran's association. I already give to charities. I kindly told them that and hung up.  Take off the tin foil, they aren't out to get you guys... lol

I think I smell a shill in here.  Giving out donations over the phone is generally a bad idea.  Be polite and hang up.  I rather donate items in person to be on the safe side.
