Robo call. No one on line when I answer my CELL phone (!). I called back and it said "Universal Energy. Press one to be placed on our do not call list. Press two to speak to a representative".
I agree w/Mike above, in that telemarketers are not supposed to be calling cell-phone numbers at all, neither manually or in robotic fashion. It is, after all, illegal. But since this law is not enforced (at all) then telemarketing callers can continue to get away with it, and *will* continue to get away with it until the fines are so heavy that it discourages them from calling.

Here are two pages of links to (mostly government) sites in Canada and the USA were you can report phone scams, or learn more about them.
First, look elsewhere on this site for an Article, entitled "Where to Report Phone Crime". (It may appear in the column to your right).

I've been called 6-10 times by this number. I always answer the phone with a very robust "HOLA!" and they hang up. Tonight the female marketeer says "Do you speak English?" I say no and she says "Thanks" and hangs up. Maybe the next caller will speak Spanish.
