Caller ID says, "SECURECARE TECH."
Next time I'll talk to them & see who they are. They'll probably tell me I have a virus on my Microsoft computer (but mine's a Mac).
Something about a veteran donation? I thought it was an automated phone call, so when I asked why he was calling us so much, he said, "oh, it's okay, we get these kind of phone calls all the time." Had a deep voice, southern accent, neutral, loud but quiet, calm, kind of; when he asked if we wanted to get something in the mail, some sort of deposit of 100 for veterans or something, and I said "No," I was still confused, still thinking it was a computerized voice. I said it kind of rude, but he was real non-chalant, and I was kind of quiet after that, and then he hung up. I looked up Secure care Tech, which was the caller ID on the land phone, and saw that it was actually a telemarketing and fax business that helped other small businesses with specifically health care stuff. It was based in Austin, and I live in the austin area. So I suppose that the reason that the guy said "we get these kind of phone calls all the time" was because people were bothered by the constant Secure Care Tech ID, thinking that it was the same company bothering them over and over. In reality, it was not.
What was weird is that I called back the number twice, only to hear silence on the other end. I kept saying, "Hello?" and no one answered. Now that I know that businesses pay for
being with Secure Care Tech, I'll answer more often.
