Yeah, they like to make up fictitious government agencies to scare people. I can guarantee you that one doesn't exist. Not good you gave them your numbers though. I suspect they will target you next.
A message was left by a Jessica Lopez supposedly from the Office of Financial Crimes. She called my deceased father's home number and wanted to speak with someone from the "estate" in reference to an "aggravated complaint" and that someone should contact her asap before they proceed with prosecution! She left a case number as well - #L102772. I've been having problems with my dad's girlfriend so my first reaction was this was some complaint she made so I called the number back and got Jessica Lopez's voice mail stating that I have reached the Office of Financial Crimes and Fraud Unit. Unfortunately I left my home and cell number for her to call me back. I starting thinking about it and it just started to sound hinky so I tried the number back again around 1am and at first got a fast busy then I got a message that the subscribers mailbox was not valid. I called back at least 5 or 6 more times to validate. I looked up the number in whitepages.com and it comes back to a mobile number but no other information.

Yeah I'm kicking myself right now for calling back and giving my numbers. I'm usually smarter than that when it comes to these types of phone calls...IRS etc. Unfortunately they caught me in the middle of issues with my dad's estate and girlfriend. Perfect timing for them....not so much for me!
