"Marti Kirchem" was in Caller ID. Left a message about AMBA, which sells benefits for state employees, teachers, and???? Callback number in the message was the same as in Caller ID: 512-590-7736. But, on the AMBA Web site https://amba.info/story.html has two other phone numbers (and a fax number.) This is not unusual, but it should be. If a company engages in cold calling, it should show that number on its Web site, stationery, etc.
It might be irritating, but it seems legitimate. It did not sound like a robocall, but the reports of "hang on" requests suggest it might be.
I heard nothing about interest in THIS call, though there have been folks calling to run that scam on me -- using unrelated voices and numbers.
