Called asking for Emily. I said "You have the wrong number." He says, "Oh, well, maybe you can help me then..." I say "Click". I've actually fallen for it before and I believe it is the Disabled Veterans asking for donations. Always the same person who calls me and always asks for Emily.
If you don't mind donating to solicitors more than the actual cause, it's not a scam. Avoid donating to random callers. If you're going to, do it at your convenience rather than by phone. These guys hoard the contributions and give little.
The same guy calls every couple of months asking for Robert. Previously, I said there is not Robert here and he says "maybe you can help me" and says he asking for money for disabled vets. I got tired of it so today when he called I said Robert "is taking a crap". He said "pardon me" and I repeated that he's taking a crap. He then says he won't leave a message. Hopefully this will be the end of it.
