Call from Buchanan Dam, TX: Not in my Contacts Lists so they don't get answered. They didn't leave a voicemail either. So they don't get a call back. Who does this anymore?? Jerks!
Automated female caller said my vehicle warranty was about to expire but didn't give a company or vehicle info. Female asked if I wanted to speak to a rep. I said yes so I could get a person on the line and complain. Female asked again. I said Yes again and caller hung up.
Just called. Spoofed number said Buchanan Dam, TX - So, I guess the Dam was calling me urgently about something! Ha. I no longer answer any call that isn't in my contact list. If they want to leave me a number/message that I can verify, I might call them back... But until the FTC does something about spoofing numbers, I'm not answering. Oh, and if you want to know what the US should do, we should implement that exact same laws as the UK, which requires that the phone number be validated. They do NOT allow spoofing at all. It is illegal in the UK.
