I was called from an unknown number: (512) 862 4417. I screened the call but was left a voicemail stating my SSN had been compromised. I called back and it went straight to voicemail and the automated reply said the number had been discontinued. A few minutes later, I was called back from the number and I answered. He said his name was Officer David Moore at the social security department. He was calling to inform me that my SSN had been suspended. He claimed there were 5 warrants out for my arrest in Texas relating to drug trafficking as well as apartment and car leases made in my name. He said I needed to file an ADR report of my assests. He had my DOB, SSN, and address. I suspected this was a bogus call and when I said I needed to think about all of this and call him back, he hung up on me.
I have received 3 calls. Message says to call this number because "your social security number has been suspended" Please call this emergency help number.
My message was "Linda calling from the office of the Inspector General of Social Security Administration saying my SS number had been suspended" Left this "emergency helpline number"
Recieved several calls from 512 862 4417. Also received from number 987-789 both with a mesaage claiming they are with office of the Inspector General of Social Security Administration saying my SS number had been suspended. I believe this to be a scam.
Just received a call same as the ones described above. I am trying to clear with SS. I let it him to voicemail and it is an automated recording, not live person
