Got a text from this number about my ad on Craigslist. They want to buy something with a check and send the rest back to them. Obviously a scam. Don't deal with this number.
They have called me on multiple occasions and I didn't answer the first 3 or 4 times plus, you can't call the number back; I tried and it just says "this number does not accept phone calls." I finally answered today and they asked for my mom. I told them that I couldn't help them (she doesn't even live in the same state) especially since they wouldn't tell me who they were or what they wanted. They only said that they were ready to take legal action on her for something but couldn't/wouldn't tell me what. When I refused to help them, they got verbally aggressive about how horrible I am for not helping her (I don't know where they got that idea) and hung up on me. It all seems very sketchy to me.
I received several calls from this number and did not pick up. The message on my voicemail said in a robot voice that it was trying to reach an ex and if I was that person, that I needed to call back. Since that is not me, I never called back, but I kept getting calls. Finally, I answered and was routed to a live person who asked why I was calling. I told him I was the one that was called and wanted to know what this was about. He asked if I was the ex. I said I wasn't. He apologized and hung up.
