They keep asking for my spouse, I ask who's calling and they get evasive. So I called back the number on caller ID and they answer the phone "Ohio Citizen Action". Probably trolling for donations. Added to my block list. Problem solved.

Yes that is exactly who they are. I made a donation to them two years ago and they haven't left me alone. They are back at my door every year and will not make a donation this year.
Ohio Citizen Action. Look, guys. I've given to you several times before but my financial situation (like most Americans) has changed. The problem with citizen activism is that is should be *voluntary*...you need people who WANT to help and want to work with you. You've become more of a plague that a debt collector and I don't even *owe* you anything.
So I will be calling and demanding to be taken off the list of contributors. And yes, I have contributed greatly in the past, which is all the more reason you should be leaving me alone right now.
