Received a text message regarding an item I had for sale on Craigslist. Says he will mail me a check and send a courier to get the item. The area code is from 3 states away from me. Why would a person do that? The item is not anything unique or special and came from Walmart. I said that I was not comfortable with that, no thanks. I believe it's a scam

It is a scam, they will send you a worthless moneygram and somehow try to get cash from you for the overage

The number 513-252-2184 tried to scam me on craigslist for an inexpensive item sending payment and extra to pay a courier
