I am cross-posting this from the 888-420-7233 thread since the same people are calling from 513-253-0641and leaving the 888-420-7233 and 888-582-0117 phone numbers in alternating sequence...
I just got another call from these people today (and another voice mail since I didn't answer). The script being read was the nearly same, verbatim, apart from a different name (this time it was a woman with a British accent - how fancy!) and a different phone number to call back to:
"This is Miss Estes. We have this as a contact number regarding a matter in our office. If you would, please contact this office as soon as possible. It is extremely important. Our number here is 888-582-0117. Again our number is 888-582-0117. It is very important that we receive your return call as soon as possible. I appreciate your cooperation. Thank you."
Once again the call originated from a local number of 513-253-0641. I am going to cross-post this in the 888-420-7233 and 888-582-0117 threads as well since it is clearly the same people calling.
Ok, so they've called me again today on my cell from this same exact number. Jay Allen Smith this time. This is still not a call for me. The number to call back to this time was 1-866-295-9370.
Today's transcript:
"Uh yes, this is, uh, Jay Allen Smith with the office of DRS. Our office, uh, has this number in our files, uh, regarding a very important matter. Uh, it is, you know obviously, important at this point that somebody returns our call as soon as possible. Uh, the number that I can be reached at is 1-866-295-9370. Again 1-866-295-9370. Uh, you may also call me back at the number on your caller ID that is my direct line. Um, obviously it is very important or I wouldn't - wouldn't call but again we do have this number, uh, registered i-in our office, uh, regarding a very important, uh, private matter that i need to discuss with you. So please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you."
Return your call? I tried that once. And here we still are, with you calling the WRONG NUMBER... And your "direct line?" I am *amazed* that so many people have the exact same "direct line" at DRS. They must have one hell of a time all having to share that one single telephone.
Find your deadbeat elsewhere or else drop it. I'm sick of being harassed with LOUD voice mails in angry tones telling me that I need to call you back.
I got the same exact message today.....word for word. Same call back number...the number that showed up on caller id was 405-555-0199. Don't call this number! I have gathered from other websites that this is a group of people that got info from h&r block if you did a refund loan. They will try to scare you into paying for a debt that you don't owe. Also some reports that if you call this number back and press 1 for English that it will charge 2.99 to your phone bill.
