Received a text message today from "Ryan" reportedly in response to a Craigslist ad I posted. Wanted to know if the items were still available . . . text back asap. My ad said interested, local, cash buyers only. I did not respond.
Also got a call in response to a craigslist ad from "Ryan". Offered to send a check and movers would come pick up the furniture after the check cleared. The furniture wasn't that special, so I didn't understand why anyone would go to the trouble. Phone records say it's a VOIP line in Cincinnati. Definitely a scammer, but I can't figure out the angle.
