called and i called back said i owe money for a payday loan and when i asked for a bill to be sent to me she refused and started to argue with me trying to get me to pay a bunch of money or they would file a complaint with the police.
This is another number from the same scamming outfit! She "says" she's Kathryn Hargrove, or something like that, calling on an "account of record", and to call her back immediately at this number. She doesn't ask for anyone in particular, and the first time she called, I thought she had said "captain", also! After three times, all from different numbers (which I have since blocked), her name is Kathryn (sp) Hardman, or Hargrove, or something starting with an H. Apparently just another attempt to extort money out of innocent Americans! Block the number, and report it to the Federal Trade Commission! They probably got my name off of old loans I had on the Internet over seven years ago! They are in violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, and they need to be reported and STOPPED!!
Keeps calling me, claiming to be "Catherine Ballard" and that it is a "call of record." I think she has left a different number each time. Also does not ask for anyone in particular, just that I must "call her back immediately" at some random number. I have received the same message from multiple phone numbers, but all with the same name in the message. Caller ID comes up as "NCFI and Associates" on my phone, and shows them in Ohio. That company is a debt collector, but it is based in Jacksonville, FL; the company only started in 2012 and has an "F" rating with the BBB. So, in short....SPAM and SCAMMERS!
I just received this call as well. Voicemail said Catherine Ballard but when I called back they would not put me through to her. Just said they had an affidavit with my name on it for a payday lender with over 200 lenders who had a loan out with my name on it and I was facing felony charges. Said I used my email as a signature. Would not let me get a word in before saying good luck and hung up the phone.
