Recieved call today saying that they were going to have me arrested if I didn't send $1000 today. When I ask for backup for what they were charging me for; person said that they couldn't send me anything because it was part of a legal suit. Was informed that I needed to hire a attorney and that they would talk to him. Fraud They are using the name UNITED CHECK FRAUD DIVISION
A lady is calling my sister stating she is with the fraud department and she needs to contact me, to give me a message that I better govern myself with attorney's because I have 2 felony fraud charges on me. She also said that they contacted the MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENTand even gave a case number, and wished me good luck! Could this be legit as I don't feel I committed FRAUD OR EVEN COMMITTED A CRIME.
Its a scam. Someone is trying to trick you into paying a debt you don't owe. Ignore the message. You and your sister and all of your other relatives can expect more messages like that one. Ignore them, too.
You know what all of you are idiots! I got the same call and I thought the same thing scam scam scam! And I didnt do anything about it! I really did take out a loan and wrote a check. I played it off like it really wasnt me, but guess what I got arrested and I took it to trial and they had me on video and everything. I thought to myself this has to be a dream theres no such thing as debtors jail.... I was charged with fraud! Do your homework people the laws are changing! If I were you I would get an attorney and turn myself in. Don't let this bite you in the [***] because of ignorance...
