I got a call from what sounded like some dude in India yet he said his name was Les Brown. He said he had $700,000 for me. I just had to call so they could arrange to drop off the check. I don't think so.
I received a phone call from a man named Charles Gross. He said he was from Bank of America. He said that I won $200,000 from Winners International Sweepstakes. I never entered the sweepstakes. He said he would call back tomorrow morning from the Bank of America to explain how I can claim my prize. I am sure that this is a scam and I have no intention of paying anything for this "so called prize". I wonder if he is connected to another scam from Jamaica at area code 876. I have been getting numerous calls from them also. I no longer answer those calls.

I just got a call from someone with an East Indian accent who said his name was Paul Brown and I had won $700,000. But someone had to bring me the certified check at my home and go with me to my bank to "activate" the check and I needed to take two forms of ID etc etc. I don't think so!! Asked a lot of questions like "do you have access to a vehicle that can go out of town?" "Are you single, married, or widowed?" YIKES!
My elderly father (whose number is listed on the national "No Call" list, of course) received a call from this number. Dad is hard of hearing, and he reported to me that the caller had a heavy accent, and said something about winning a Sweepstakes. I'm glad that he wrote down the caller's number, but it's scary to think that an elderly person could give out personal information to a total stranger on the phone. I guess that's what these criminal rely upon.
