Asked for our Company's President by name. When I told the caller who identified herself as Jennifer and declined to tell me who she was with, that our president wasn't available, she asked if she had voicemail. I asked what the call was in regards to and she said she'd rather not say. I told her I'd be happy to take a message and she wondered why she couldn't leave a voice mail (I was thinking because our President is too busy to listen to your babble on the phone) I offered again to take a message. She asked for my name, which I gave to her and she hung up.
Same here. Answered all my questions with more questions. Someone calls me, won't identify themselves and won't answer my questions, I hang up on them.
I looked up the company and they are cold calling wanting to sell their "B2B Merchant Services" to your CFO, I stupidly put her through to my CFO without thinking. He hates those Merchant Services cold calls so next time I'm going to make sure I have my coffee in the morning so I'm thinking clearly.
Left me two voice mail messages in one day. Identified herself as Julie from Sterling Buying Group and left her telephone number and extension as (888) 564-9564 but the number she was calling from is actually (513) 564-9000. No message other than her telephone number and extension. I did not return either call. Thanks everyone... for sharing!
