some female called pretending to be a debt collector without actually saying she is.... she wants to be vague and act intimidating to scare the weak minded. She wanted me to verify the last 4 of my social or address. DO NOT GIVE HER ANY INFO...SHE IS A SCAMMER. SHE TRIES REALLY HARD TO PRETEND TO BE LEGIT. TRY TO GET AS MUCH INFO AS POSSIBLE SO SHE CAN BE FOUND. NO DEBT COLLECTOR IS GOING TO DO WHAT SHE DOES. THEY ARE REQUIRED TO NOTIFY YOU IN WRITING. So if she does send something in writing be sure to verify everything by looking up the company...checking for scams and double checking phone #s and if anything is off...report her immediately.
This number just called me. At 6:34 AM! That's against the law and I will be filing a complaint with the FTC. Idk who it is or what company this number supposedly belongs to but they are breaking the law!
They have every right to call you up to 10 times per day..if they get and answering machine. Yes they do send out letters but still can call you if you don't respond to the letters. They will ask for the last 4 of your social security,dob etc due to the law..They can only discuss your delinquent account with the correct person only..
