Call from "Talk of the Town" publication. Supposed local publication to be distributed for about a year from $330-$370 for a 3-4 column 'news article' they wanted to publish. I've had these calls before and their supposed news article advertising does not fit with my own advertising goals.
No message, called back, "Seabird Publications" answered, very nice lady apologized for dialing me when she found I did not own a business and was not a realtor. Previous cell # owner was a realtor, so I get a lot of realty related calls.
Received a call from Andrea Vasquez asking for the cell phone number of our broker. When asked what it was regarding, she rudely said 'well she is a realtor, right?' (insinuating this was a business call). Not. She said 'never mind' and hung up. Wow, how unprofessional.
Received a call from "Ginger" of Seabird publications. Offering some local publication via "Talk of the Town". We are in Colorado Springs, not sure how they are tied in with OUR 'local' publications here.
Sounded fishy. I told her the owner was not available and that it would be best to send the information for her to look at via email. Ginger said she would need to talk to the owner first before doing so. I told her to leave a number for the owner to call so that she could talk to her more on her own time. Ginger was reluctant to even do that- she said, "well I could call back, I mean, I'm going to have to call her back anyway since I am hard to reach-I'm on the phone all day". I told her that was fine, and that would be best. She left this number- 1-800-708-7728
