No defaults here. We both are up to date on our student loans. I think it probably is a scam.
It seems our phone number is being inundated with all these con artists lately. As a matter of fact, I just received a phone call from "myself" as I was typing this reply.

Called and asked for my mother-in-law who died last year. She was in her 80s and I know she didn't have any loans. They then wanted her info so they could 'update' their files.
I keep getting a call from this number. I haven't answered any of their calls cause I don't answer calls from #'s I don't recognize. They never leave messages either
Call came up as Navient, which took over student loans from Sallie Mae recently. The caller left a message for my husband to call the company back, but we're unsure if it's legit or not. We have not received any paperwork in the mail or emails from this company, and we're certainly not going to volunteer our info to a person calling us. We checked out the "Contact Us" information on the Navient website, but this phone number is nowhere to be found. Hhhhmmmm....
