Started getting regular calls from this local Montreal number; the caller ID comes up "G I P". I've answered on a few occasions; it's always a different person, sometimes Anglophone, sometimes Francophone, always sounding just as confused as I am. On one occasion I told the guy it was a wrong number and to stop calling during the night, and he said he'd never done it before. I think it might be some kind of VOIP program but the calls have quite steady over the last week and there's nothing online about this number.

This isnt a VOIP program, its a buzzer system for an apartment building. It calls a phone number programmed into the system when the person enters in the Apt. # to gain access to the building (the person answering presses 9 to unlock the door). GIP is the name of the property management company. It sounds like someone might have put in the wrong phone number into the buzzer system if you are getting calls and don't live in that building. I believe their phone number is 514-344-8884.
