I have recieved a letter and check for $3,991.00 from supposedly a San Antonio Federal Credit Union to do Customer Service Evalutaion. (6061 IH-10 Box 1356 San Antonio, TX 78295-1356).The number listed is (514) 652- 2493 and a fax of 514-221-2201 or 1-866-755-5976. I live in Iowa so I had no clue the number was incorrect until researching.
There is a legit Credit Union with this name and that address so if you look at the BBB it says A+, however this is apparently a Montreal Quebec number I believe. I called the number and after it rang for 39 times a recording came on the spoke in French at first and then in English it said call back another time. Your not able to leave a message and there is no identification of the company when it answered. It disconnects you then. I have called at all times of the day, night, etc. Never an answer. I did get several hang up calls on my phone when answered so i shut off my answering machine for a while to make sure that if I wasent able to answer, they would not be told my family name, business, etc. They have never left a message either. For someone who sends a check for almost four thousand dollars and wants you to do this work, they really don't want to be able to get a hold of you. BEWARE OF THIS NUMBER AND MAILINGS FROM THIS COMPANY PLEASE!! Good Luck to you and I pray none of you get scammed. DO NOT CASH THE CHECK OR GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!

I received a check for $3992.00. I also have had a problem with the number. The check has alliance shippers as the logo. The letter says to call the number to activate the check, whatever the hell that means. I get a french, then english greeting saying to call later, but no one answers. I still have not figured out the scam. I'm researching it and have sent an email to alliance shipping because the name on the check is the president of the company.
