I got a $49.95 collect charge on my Telus bill. The name of the company is "informationtelcharge.com INC" and the call was for 1 min. It seems they keep changing their phone number as there are other people reporting the same charge with another number. Have anyone been able to get their money back?
I also got billed for a $49.95 + tax charge on my Telus bill. Company billing it was Informationtelcharge.com Inc.
Called Telus to complain, they reimbursed the charge and gave me Informationtelcharge.com's number which is 1-888-985-2233. Called that number to complain. They claim they bill these things out for hundreds of advertising agencies. They directed me to E-Bridge Advertising at 1-888-993-2743 who uses the 514-764-7740 phone number. Called them to complain, talked to a rep, they canceled the charges and closed my account. I should not see any new charges from them. If I had not called E-Bridge, they would have continued charging me every month for some imaginary website advertising service I was supposed to call back to cancel.
Number showed up on my phone bill under person-person collect call. I called Telus and they said it was a scam, They reversed teh call but said I would have to call the company to have it cancelled. When I called they said that I had approved the charges, I asked them to cancel it and they did. Clearly they know its a scam as well.
I had the # 514 764 7740 charge a person to person collect call to my 2nd line that has no phone attached to it , 1 minute call for 56.44. I called bell who could see the call was clearly impossible as there is no physical phone attached to my line. The charges were reversed.
