This number keeps calling my cell phone which is costing me money! I switched to pay as you go back in August of 2011 because I was no longer on the road so only need a cell phone for emergencies. I told them the person they were looking for no longer had that cell phone number. Cell phone numbers like regular land line phone numbers are recycled which means you can get calls for someone who had that number even though the number is now yours. They keep calling and they are harassing. I called them back once again and once again they said they would remove my number. I used my landline the first time then the next call used the cell. Overall this bill collector has cost me almost $7 in used minutes and it isn't even my bill. From now on, if I don't recognize the phone number calling my cell, and if it is outside of our area code I'm not answering. If it is within our area code, I will answer but if they ask for someone else I will immediately hang up. I am also filing a complaint with the CRTC.
I received calls from 1 514 850 2771 the man on the line was looking for a previous rental who had done fraud. I advised him the individual was renting my basement. He continued calling and stated he did not care what I had to say and he needed to speak to this individual. I hung up and he called back 5 times. I became irritated and obtained a panic attack. My father who is elderly was harassed before I had taken the phone from him. I have not had a panic attack in a long long time. I wish to file a complaint and need to know where I would go to do so. My health is in jeopardy as I am constantly receiving phone calls and being harassed for something I did not do.
