It is about the 3rd time in 3 months we have that knid of call.
They say :I am calling for your computer,you have a problem with your computer....
Another one told me he was from Microsoft.
The last person that called definitely had a asiatic accent.
I told him/her Go fish I know you you are, you are bad people and then I hang up.
Oh an other sign of their unprofessionalism is :when you answer it takes them a few seconds to come on the line and some time they talk to somebody in their "work room" before talking to you.

Just got a call from this number... said they've been getting error reports over the internet that my computer was infected with Malware, and they could help me fix it. Suspicious, I asked them how they got my info. They were able to tell me my name and address... they said it's because I'm a registered Windows user, and they basically got it from the place where I bought my computer (unlikely, I bought it from a friend who's in business for himself)... I asked them to tell me what company they worked for. They tried to get me to give them the computer's CLSID to prove that they were legit... (Note: that would not prove anything like that, but would likely help them get access to my computer to do nasty stuff to it.) The DOS window he wanted me to open froze, so he wanted me to reboot the computer. When I wouldn't, he asked when he can call me back. I asked where I could call them, instead. The number he gave me had one too many digits, and the name (Greg White) did not fit his asian-sounding accent... *69 gave me a number that cannot be called as dialed...
Je viens d'avoir un appel de ce numéro. Ils disaient qu'ils recevaient, depuis un mois, des messages d'erreur sur internet qui indiquaient que mon ordi était en proie à des Malware. Doutant anguille sous roche, je leur ai demandé comment ils avaient obtenu mon information. Ils ont dit que c'était parce que je suis un client enregistré de Windows, et ils ont eu l'information du vendeur de mon système (très peu probable, puisque je l'ai acheté d'un ami en affaire pour son compte)... Je leur ai demandé pour quelle compagnie ils travaillent, et ils ont essayé de me faire dire le CLSID de mon ordi, pour prouver qu'ils sont légitimes (note: cela ne prouverait rien de la sorte, mais leur donnerait probablement accès à mon ordi, pour leur permettre de faire toutes sortes de vilaines choses à mon ordi). La fenêtre DOS qu'ils m'ont fait ouvrir a gelé, ils voulaient que je redémarre mon ordi. Quand je n'ai pas voulu, ils ont demandé quand ils pourraient rappeler. Je leur ai demandé plutôt où je pouvais les rappeler. Le numéro qu'ils m'ont donné avait un chiffre de trop, et le nom du gars (Greg White) n'allait pas avec l'accent asiatique. *69 me donne un numéro qui ne peut être appelé tel que composé .
Même chose pour moi, il a essayé de me dire que mon ordinateur était en danger. J'ai dit que je ne croyais pas être la personne à qui il voulait parler. Il parlait anglais et avait effectivement un accent asiatique. Il a fini par raccrocher... N'importe quoi!
