they called asking me if I knew William Alican Cleveland , I know no one by that name and don't know how they even got my phone number I assume they are debt collectors working for the banks . I was upset didn't know how they got my number

Je raccroche toujours, si c'est si important, qu'une vraie personne me parle et en francais s'il vous plait. 10 secondes apres que j'ai eu raccroché aujourd'hui, un certain Mr. Jefferson 1-877-313-4274 #3374 a laisser son numéro refusant de me dire pourquoi il voulait parler à mon épouse, ni même de quel compagnie il s'agissait.
Je suis sur la liste nationale de numéros de télécommunication exclus et je ne vois pas du tout pourquoi une compagnie anglophonne voudrais communiquer avec mon épouse francophone qui ne comprend pas plus l'anglais que : Yes No toaster. Nous n'avons jamais payer de facture en retard donc aucune raison de les rappeler.

received a phone call 2 weeks ago from a man who did not disclose his name.
He only said what company had handed over the file to him.
he started to dictate my finanicial situation as if I was not aware of it.
i requested him to stop calling and bothering me at work.
he replied that he would keep calling me untill the file was resolved.
he kept calling me and I would not pick up the phone.
he left a message today telling me his name and leaving his phone number.
i called him back and asked him why was he still calling me.
again he recited my financila situation and said that he talked to my bosses.
i was furious and blew up over the phone and hang up on him.
how is it possible that he is allowed to call and talk to my bosses?
even though I have asked him twice to stop calling me at work?
does anyone know what to do?
I am a victim of identify fraud/theft. I've been called several times by this "company". I've asked them for their employee identity numbers to which they give me their extension number. I'm pretty good with identifying languages and dialects and it is always the same person with a different name. They've threatened me, got upset, harrased, you name it. Stand your ground and DO NOT GIVE THEM any personal information, do not even confirm any of your information.
Believe me, if they were a credible credit collection company they would be well aware of my file and yours!
My suggestion to anyone who gets a call from this number is to report it to the Montreal Police Fraud Division.

I work in Finance. Whenever one of our employees gets one of these calls at work, they tell them that their company will be getting a call from their lawyer. By rights, I do believe that they are NOT allowed to call any ones place of work.
