Received a prerecorded message on the afternoon of 08/21/2009 from "Cardmember Services" to refinance debt at 6.9%. I pressed the "9" prompt on the phone to get a representative. When the representative asked if I wanted to refinance my debt I replied that I wanted my number taken off the calling list. In response the representative (young woman) hung up.
I filed an online complaint with the federal do not call list site. I doubt that will do much good, but at least the Feds allow you to file complaints for do not call violations, as opposed to Georgia, which no longer enforces violations of the Georgia no call list.
Got this call at 4:06pm EDT caller ID reads 'CAP'
Probably same crap on voice mail about lowering interest rates on CC
Funny thing was the msg, said "This call is in regards to your credit card"
I stopped dealling in credit some 4 yr's ago......
said Obama was trying to lower interest rates on mortgages, if you now owed more than u started with then u r being charged too much on mortgage rates. SCAM!!!
I am also on the do not call list and this number called my phone... what a bunch of sh*t! I had to waste my time trying to figure out what this number was. Its just great that I have to be bothered wirh crap like this.
