Guy called my 83 yo MIL saying my husband was drunk driving and in jail. That he needed money to get out. Luckily she told my FIL and he called me. I called and the guy got mad at me and hung up.
Received a phone call this morning from someone claiming to be my grandson who was in a car accident and in jail. He wanted me to call his attorney(Gene Howard Johnson) at this phone number(515-421-9058) for the details to get him released. He said his case number was B31413. Told him he was a good actor and I don't have a grandson old enough to drive. SCAM!

He wanted me to call his attorney(Gene Howard Johnson) at this phone number(515-421-9058) for the details to get him released. He said his case number was D9365. I played along but didn't call his "attorney". "Attorney" called me. I played with his mind until he hung up. LOL.
My mother received the same scam call this morning using the same phone number and phoney name. This call was mire sophisticated because they had her grandson's actual name.
Caller with the phone # 515-421-9058 talked with my mother on one of my other phone lines identifying himself as my son and went on to ask for $2,000 to be sent to him because he was in a car accident, broke his nose, and needed to pay court fees. He gave a case number of 7733B402. I called the number and it was identified as a Google subscriber account. The exchange is from DesMoines IA. All family members were alerted.
