Since they talked to you they are now required to do this by law:
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Keep getting robot calls from this number. The says to hang up if you're not the person they are looking for. What's the point when they keep calling anyway.
Same as Sonia. I keep receiving calls from this number with automated voice saying to hang up if I'm not a particular person they're looking for. Frustrating. Have had about 5 of these in the past 1 1/2 weeks.
So angry with this company or person who keeps calling me, I don't know who they are and I have no any contacts around that area so I don't care how many times they call I will never answer, so guys quit wasting your time trying to get a hold of me!!! wish someone can do something to stop them doing this. Try to find a job! that may help you to leave us alone, work hard to make money and not trying to still frompeoplel who really works!!!!
Debt collectors or something of that nature. I received a call today from this number. Answered the phone only to hear background noise so I hung up the phone and decided to call them back. I let the phone ring for a good 8-10 minutes, I wasn't in a rush, and finally someone answered and asked "did you receive a phone call from us today?" .............. They were looking for someone else, as usual.
