I was waiting on a call from a job interview, so I picked up the phone despite not knowing the number. I got an automated message stating that I was eligible for a lower interest rate on my credit card. For which I do not have. So this is obviously a scam.
I went to pick up the phone when it rang and found that as I reached for the cell phone my finger touched the screen and answered the call. I never answer calls that are solicitations. I answered the call by mistake and as it turns out the recorded message was solicitation of a company to help lower credit card balances. I hung up and added them to my block call list.
