Received a call this morning and was freaked because I don't have any credit cards so I pushed 1 to make sure no one had opened a card in my name. I asked what company it was and the guy (barely speaking english) said "you pushed one to lower your rates" and I responded, "well I don't have any credit cards and if someone opened a card in my name...." and then you hung up before I could finish. So i called back trying to figure out which company it was but the only thing it said was "push one to remove your number from this call list"
Received a call from this number at 12:19 this afternoon. I do NOT answer any call that I am not familiar with the number. This number called,,it rang once...then a second later, called again. Knew it was probably a 'scam' call so I don't even bother to answer. If you do answer this type call, usually, they do NOT say anything anyway. Not wasting my time.
Do not fall for their scam. They state they are with credit card services for visa MasterCard. When I asked what company, they stated chase go to, and capital one. They wanted to me to give them my fill cc number. I said no I will call my credit card directly. They got aggressive with me I told them I would call my card and if it's legit I will call them back. They said nevermind don't and hung up. When I called my card company they indeed stated that it was a scam to steal credit card numbers. Thank god for my gut feeling.
