Spent 2 hours on the phone with some indian guy. He told me that I owed student tax money (Over $2,000) and that I needed to go to the ATM and withdraw $2,000 immediately before the police came and picked me up and throw me in jail. So I proceeded to go to the ATM and withdraw $2,000. The man told me to stay on the phone and I told him my phone was going to die - so he told me to buy a portable charger (which I did FOR $30). Then he told me to put the money on Itunes cards (this is where I knew it was not legit). Then the man told me 911 would call me and a fake 911 number called and another indian man with a higher pitch voice answered the phone. I hung up and called 911 on my cellphone and was connected to a real office - who told me this scam has been going on for a while. I missed half of my day and pizza for this [***].

Wow. I just missed three calls in a row from this number- each 1 minute apart. The 3rd call left a message saying they had legal complaints against my name and identity and I should call them for more information before they take legal action.
The person who called me, very heavy accent, said his name is Kevin Anderson and that he is from the Federal Law Enforcement Department (of which there are many).
I have not called back, reported to my local police department.
Same thing. They called my daughter and said she owed money. She called me and I knew it was a scam right away. No harm but it freaked her out for a minute when they said she was going to be arrested!!!
Claims to be the IRS, Automated system, all kinds of Threats, "You owe us Money, we Filed a Lawsuit"... Blah, Blah, Blah, Don't fall for it, your [***]'s straight... The IRS and ALL other companies (that you may owe Money to) will ONLY NOTIFY YOU BY MAIL. and not with Threats...
