This number called at 4:52 pm, since it is my local area code (not that makes a difference at times), I did pick it up but immediately blocked it since having just a town and state usually indicates a scam. Decided (which I don't normally do) to call it back from a blocked line and reached "Thank you for calling back, we are calling since Allstate asked us to call you." Really, they call from a cell phone, I think not!! My Allstate insurance agent is just around the block and across the street (like 400' from my house) and when they do call, it is from their main number and shows up as Allstate (and I am also in a different town than the call that came in tonight). I also receive legitimate emails from Allstate and I am always in the office. Was about to call the main number when I realized it was closing time so will call tomorrow and advise them. Googled it first, no reports, did a search in phone number search but no other reports so I believe I am the first to report it.

They do not use cell phones, unless their phones are out and they use their personal cells if they have to call, but that is very rare. She spoke to the main agent and he will be looking into it, not a number they would use. Just wanted to pass this information on.
