We received a similar call. The man identified himself as Jim Johnson and said that he was installing granite at our owner's house and needed to speak to him immediately. When I told him the owner wasn't in he demanded his cell number. I told him I am not allowed to give out that information but I would call our owner and ask him to return the call. Jim told me that I should put him on hold while I made the call. I repeated that I would be glad to take his information to pass along. He hung up on me. I researched the number and found out that it is an investment company. Probably a scam as well.
This is on our do-not-call list but they keep calling. He asks for the owner by first name, when I say he's not in and ask to take a message, he just hangs up. I just called and actually got a person - told her they're on our DNC List and to quit calling - that they're being very rude. I gave her our number, when she asked for the name of the business I told her she could look it up. She tried to insist - I told her to look it up and to quit calling and hung up!

The man asked for my boss by name. I asked for his name, "Al Parker" he said. I asked what is this call regarding: Following up on some paper work that I sent him.
I told him my boss was not available would he like to be put in voice mail....he hung up....SCAMMER
Told my boss about it, he just laughed and said, "That tells me, its a scam, when they don't leave a message and hang up...S.C.A.M."
My boss calls me the "Gate Keeper" lol
