Yet another "we sold your number" call, no message, but made sure to clog my voicemail with minutes of silence. I really need to get an account here to really see what happened to the "scam" button, because calls like this are. In the meantime, filing under whatever I feel like.
This number is on my ID caller as originating from New York. I do not answer to this number and never have and never will. They do not leave any messages but they did call me early this morning and I keep getting phone calls from them through out the day, They have been harassing me with all this calling and never seem to stop. Should there be anything I can do to stop this I would appreciate it it if someone would tell me what to do OR if it is being investigated I would like to know as that would help me feel much more secure regarding the whole situation. Why is it NOT being investigated? What possible reason could there be? The telephone companies seem to have their hands tied regarding any investigations regarding against the law situations. How come?
I just received a call from this number. Thought it was my sister-in-law, who has similar number. I could barely understand him, heavy accent. He asked for me by first name. I asked who was calling and it sounded like some medical service. I hung up.
Got a call this morning at 8:30 am. No message -- "silent call". Also got a call two days ago from 516-243-5490. Clearly scammers now using area code 516. Unfortunately phone companies could provide software to stop a lot of robocalling and scams, but my research says they make more money by allowing these calls to come through. So I recommend what I did which is to check the Internet to learn about blocking systems and hardware -- then purchase the best system and hit "Block". They may still call, but won't get through and you regain some relief from all this harrassment.
