Called my cell phone and left a voicemail. Spoke with a foreign accent. Appears to be a scam that threatens legal action if you don't call them back. I am confident it was a recorded message because the first part of it was cut off ... a live caller would have waited for the beep before starting to speak. Here's the voicemail I received: "... serious attention. Ignoring this message will be an intentional second attempt to avoid an initial appearance before the magistrate judge of the grand jury for a federal criminal offense. The number to reach us will be 516-259-3141. I repeat 516-259-3141. Advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you." I'm blocking this caller.
I received a call from this number as well. The exact same message as reported by 'Dave' in this thread. Message was in what appeared to be an Indian accent. Must be a scam as the messages are identical.
Same message: serious attention.
