We got the same call. Wants us to do a tax relief. We don't owe any taxes. Id said Solar. Have gotten calls from them before. thinking about getting a call blocking device but don't know if they really work.
People, just Google unknown, inbound numbers; and if 800notes.com is your first search result, the number that called you is undoubtedly a scam, spam, telemarketers, etc. So read through comments that have been left by people before you, and BEFORE TOU TRY TO CALL THEM BACK. The best thing to do is to just block the number, and go on with your day.
These calls are not going away any time soon, so just embrace this fact and do the above steps first.
Even if the number is the same area code as yours, don't answer. And remember, don't call them back whether they left a voicemail message or not.
For every suspicious number, remember to follow these easy steps:
-Let the call go to voicemail.
-While waiting to see if they left a voicemail message, do a Google search on the number and see if among the first five results this number has been reported as suspicious,
-Read the comments left by others about their experiences with this number.
-If they left a voicemail, then go ahead and listen to it.
-Then based off of your own experience and taking the experiences of others into consideration, leave a comment of your own.
-Lastly, and most importantly, block the number! You will still receive voicemail messages, so if you blocked a legitimate number, then you can just as easily unblock them.
