Been getting calls from various 516 numbers. Now I just quickly check the web before I pick up. If I find complaints I dont pick up and then I block the number. It always been a lady who wants to speak to a specific person who is often not here, who quickly wants to hang up and say she will call again when the person is in, to not give you a chance to ask a question. I dont doubt the previous post that says that they claim to be of a phony company. In our case they also claimed to be from a different company but after searching the web for all the 516 numbers they used I was able to see that it was a NY debt collector. Be careful of all 516 numbers.
Claims to be Yodel Electrical. No such company. They call periodically and demand to talk to the retired president. I have asked the repeatedly not to call anymore, but they call back every few months anyway. This number is new for them. They also demand to know if I'm the business owner when I say stop calling.

The caller ID said "Wendy Brown". The woman asked me if I was taking on new clients. (I am a CPA). When I said yes, she proceeded to go into a sales pitch about how her service could generate verified sales leads for new clients.
I kept trying to explain to her that I only take new clients on referral from existing clients, and that I was not interested in clients tat are doing an internet search. She just kept babbling on, so I ended up just hanging up the phone.
To the person above who said to be careful of all 516 numbers, that is a rather broad generalization. 516 is the area code for all of Nassau County, Long Island.
Just because some cold callers and scammers spoof their caller ID to show a 516 area code should not be reason to assume that any call from the 516 area code is a scam.
They called the office, I looked up number in internet, saw it was a bad number, so didn't pick up. Saved myself some time. Thanks to all those posting.
