I did not answer and no message was left. Caller ID said Farmingdale, NY. I have found that anytime a city is listed as caller ID, more than likely it is a scam of some sort. I have received numerous calls on my cell phone of late that have all identified themselves as IRS and they are filing a lawsuit against me. Not gonna happen. I'm guessing that since these people didn't identify themselves, they are selling my phone number to somebody as a verified good number.
I answered it , they said something I couldn't understand, and hung up. there are a bunch of bogus charities calling lately , one saying they're the police, 99% are scams, most reputable charities don't do solicitations over the phone, unless you have contacted them, and even then it is rare. most often they solicit by mail, television, radio, newspaper, etc. not telephone.
Called and spoke Spanish and hung up when I asked who they are calling. I called them back and was put on hold.A lady spoke in Spanish and I asked her if she spoke English.She said no English and hung up.I think this is some kind of a scam and do not know how they got our number.
