For those repeat calls that you don't want to answer, try this: in your cell phone, save the number as "DNA" and set the ring tone to "Silent" or "beep once". Then you won't be bothered with the ringing, or looking to see who is calling, or what the number is. I do it to every single "spam" call I receive. I usually look up the number on sites like this first.
Since I have a lot of friends in NY, I answered....
recorded voice: "Hello, this is Heather from Account Services... " saying that I could lower my interest rate to 6.9%. Never once saying WHICH interest rate they were targeting... home? Car? Credit Card? And certainly never providing and corporate identity.
I had the option to press "1" to find out; or "2" to remove my number. I just hung up.
I have pushed number 9 on my phone to not be contacted again. This does not do any good these scumbags keep on calling my business phone. I wish someone could do something about these people.
