I'M registered with DO NOT CALL, still 516-453-6831( something credit card approval co.) keeps calling and leaving also a different # to call them back - 800-706-6208. Name is Kathy. Very bothersome.
Answered it to tell them to take me off their call list, but they just hung up when I answered- without saying anything. It's probably a computer dialing random numbers just to find valid ones. Ugh. We are already registered on the National Do Not Call list, too.
Register your numbers with the National Do Not Call Registry- just look that up via Google. It helps, but it still hasn't stopped all of the calls for us. Some of the telemarketers, and probably all of the illegal spammers just ignore it. You can report unwanted calls after you are registered, and the callers are then supposed to receive a fine... if they can actually be tracked down.
