I keep getting calls from the number 516-499-9271 saying they are from Advance America and calling for someone named Trudy,,when i say they have the wrong number then they try to talk to me. I informed them that if they keep calling i was going to report it to the police..they hung up.
Yes, I received a call today from this number....it sound like a recording of an indian woman (India) with a heavy accent requesting a call back ; giving no specific name of who they were calling for.
I recieved a call from her. She said she was calling from advanced America and that I had been approved for a 4000.00 loan that I haven't even applied for.
Advance fee loans are illegal period and in some states, so are the payday loans. Please be aware the scammers may also claim down the road that you have taken a loan and try to extort money from you that way as well!
