Same heavy accent caller keeps calling my place of business, cell phone and even knows my entire SSI number....states he wants my bank info and cc info....DO NOT GIVE TO HIM...it's a scam!! How do we stop this person from stealing my idenity??
Man with a very heavy Indian accent claiming to be from the Department of Justice. States that they have my SS# and an arrest warrant has been issued and police in black & white will be sent to my place of employment to arrest me. Also stated that my employer would be notified. Looked up the # on reserve look up nothing comes up. There is no Department of Justice office in Nassau , NY where reverse look up states the # is from. Big Scam if it happens to you don't stress. I don't know that much about arrest warrants but I'm pretty sure they don't call ahead and let you know that they are coming! Also couldn't tell me where my place of employment even was when pressed for info.
Got uet another call from this number stating thia time that the man calling was a poloice officer but his Indian accent is so thick I couldnt make out the fake name of the offi er he was trying to portray. Says he is pressing legal charges against me..wont say for what..I told him never to call again but they call every few wekks. SICK OF THIS SCAMMER AND THAT IS ALL IT IS
tell these people that you sent their number to your cousin who works for the bureau of investigations and that impersonating a police officer is a FEDERAL crime and they are on their way to their (the indian) place of employment to arrest them.. they won't call you again, TRUST ME.. I've yet to hear back from them
