Caller with thick Indian accent claimed to be "Steven", said he was calling from the computer help department at Microsoft. I asked him from what location was he calling from, he said Pennsylvania, but my caller id displayed Baldwin, NY, so I told him he had to be lying. He hung up on me. These Indian scammers will not stop calling my number.
They will if you are able to make sure they get no kind of answer when they call you. If they believe they can rely on you to answer in some way, they're liable to keep trying. A number that never has any kind of answer eventually becomes a waste of their time to continue calling. If you can do that with all unknown numbers, their interest in your number decreases. Indians randomly calling about computers, claiming to be from the IRS, or offering "grants" should be hung up on as soon as you notice an accent if you must answer the call.
