received a text from this number stating my id was suspended and provided a link to firmconfig.com. [email protected] was the address it came from.

I got the same text @ 10 pm on 02/12/16

Got a text message 9:50pm on 2/11/16 that "Your id has been suspended until this process is completed, we apologise (sic) for any inconvenience. www.firmconfig.com

My phone is a prepaid phone and I don't give the number out to anyone.

However, in many cases, the text origin, as seen on your phone, is faked.  The internet domain does not exist, or the phone number may have been spoofed.
