I received a call from this number and answered it thinking it may be from one of the companies I applied to for a job. The person said he is from a law firm. He proceeded to ask if I had problems getting a loan or credit card. I asked him what he was selling and he told me he was with a law firm that is seeking to help people improve their credit report/score via credit solutions. When I told him I did not need his services and my score was fine he told me I was lying and hung up. Definitely a scam call.
Received two back-to-back calls from 516-635-5840 on Friday, June 10, 2016 @ 2:19pm, eastern. Caller ID says "Brookhaven, NY." No message left either call.
This number has called my cell at least TWICE a day for the last three days... never leaves a message. Obvious scam caller, because when I called the number back from my work line, they have a message "We are sorry.. this number is not a working number.." so they are obviously using a call blocker that sounds like a legit automated message. They are now on my blocked number list.
They keep calling so I finally answered twice. The first time was a female with a thick accent so I hung up on her. The next time was a male with a thick accent. I asked why are you calling me at work and he started going into some bad credit blah blah message. I kept asking why are you calling me, don't call this number again. After repeating myself 4 times I asked if he didn't understand english and he hung up.
