Police agency representative looking for a donation...when I told him I don't make any promises over the telephone he said he had a packet of information ready to send to me...he just wanted me to verify my name by spelling it, at which point I said I don't give any information over the phone and he hung-up on me.

These so called "police agencies" NEVER stop calling. I wish there was something someone could do about it. I have told these low lives to stop calling but they just keep it up.There is no" list" to be "TAKEN OFF OF, they just keep trying to get someone who hasn't been called before so they can sucker them into giving them info over the phone . Do't answer if you don't know who is calling is my golden rule. if everyone did that these maggots would give up.
This is one of the latest trends in "courtesy calls", they are using a soundboard to allow a poor english speaker to call on Americans. They only have to pre-qualify you as interested and then pass your info along to someone local for the follow up.
The next time they call ask them for the primary ingredient in tomato soup or what day tomorrow is. They will actually tell you what they are doing if you ask the right way, unlike the robot in the article.
