More precisely they are a law firm specializing in collections and creditors' rights. My cell phone number apparently used to belong to a debtor before it was reassigned to me by the carrier. I got a laugh out of them calling my cell phone via an automated call system and leaving a message. They were looking for "Juan P---" and since my voice mail didn't hang up, supposedly that acknowledged that I was "Juan P---" At least they look legit. If they reach me live I'll advise them to sue "Juan P---" and stop calling me. If they keep leaving useless messages I'll eventually file a complaint with the state attorney general.
These jokers keep calling our house number and my husband's cell. Our attorney said to just ignore them. I have blocked their number through our Verizon service.
